I see that my questions didnít get any answers over the weekendÖ Iíll rephrase them because I really want to understand the big picture. When I tried to explain it to a musical relative, they said that neither method was transposing and didnít know what I was talking about. With hope, someone here will. 1. a. If playing the same notes on another harp key does not change the song key, what is it called?
b. What should one do if they canít find a particular note, go up or down in pitch? Improvise?
2. a. Does playing the Eb pattern on the Bb harp change the song key from Eb to Bb?
b. If not, what is it called and why does it sound okay?
Please take a moment to look this over, any comments and/or direction welcome.

1. There once lived an Indian maid, A shy little prairie maid,
2. She watched for him day and night, She kept all the campfires bright,
Who sang a ____lay, a love song __gay, As on the plain sheíd while away the day.
And under the sky, each night she would lie, And dream about his coming by and by;
She loved a___ warrior bold, this shy little maid of old,
But when all the braves returned, the heart of Red Wing yearned,
But brave and__ gay, he rode one__ day to battle far__ away.
For far, far away, her warrior gay, fell bravely in the fray.
CHORUS:
Now the moon shines tonight on pretty RED WING, __
the breeze is sighing,____ the night birdís crying,____
For a far ëneath his star her brave is sleeping, __
While Red Wingís weeping__ her heart away.
