"Spider to the Fly"

   Hi Folks,

I'm having trouble tabbing out the intro and harp solo on "The Spider and Fly" by the Rolling Stones. The truth is, I haven't been able to figure it out at all. I believe the song is in the key of E and Mick uses an A Harp. Can anyone lend their expertise on how to tab this great tune out?

Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance...
Blue Bear

Marc,

I don't have the tab, but if you find a sound file for it at iTunes or Amazon.com, paste the link here, and I will double-check the key of the song for you which will make playing along and working out the tab much easier.

Maybe one of our more advanced members can help out a bit.

   Mick is playing and A harp. Here's the opening bit:
4=4draw
4'=4draw bent half step
^4=dip bend. Start bent and release to natural note
4+=4blow
(345) chord (in this case this is a pick-up to the 6+)

^4 ^4 4' 4+
^4 ^4 4' 2
4' 4 4+
4' 4' 4+
^4 ^4 4' 2
4 4+
(345) 6+ 5 5+ 4 3' 2

The solo at the end uses many of these notes, but it certainly branches out. It sounds like he's playing tongue blocked.

Good Luck

Alan,

Thanks for doing that. I just added it to the Master List.
