They are loud, easy to play, easy to disassemble to clean, and will last a reasonable amount of time. Other than that, it is 100% subjective. I still prefer the 270's for most things, but that's just me. One could say the the CX-12's are a bit prettier sounding and the 270's are a little 'ballsier', but again that could just be me.
