Seeking assistance with another Microphone problem. I replaced the element/cartridge on an old JT30. Soldered one wire from element to connector and from element to the inside of the shell for the ground. I plug in and get a terrible "Buzz/Humming" sound. Only way to stop it is if I hold on to where the microphone cord connects to the mic connector. I set up my Green Bullet this same way and it works fine!
