"Bob Dylan "Mr. Tambourine Man""

I wasnt too sure about the other Mr. Tambourine Man tab on this site.

This is what I have always jammed to..

7 7 -7 7 -7 7 -7

6 -6 6 -6 6 5 -5 x2 or 3 (if you like)

Then you can slide back up to 7 and jam a little and end 4.

Hope this is some help, questions or comments welcome.

This site is a great help, and I would just like to thank everyone for their tabs...

   Hey

Is this the tab for the solo on the original album version that kicks in about 3.25? Im trying to learn the harmonica solo part only whilst playing the chords on guitar. My guitar has a capo on fret 3 and the chords im playin are G,A and D. My harp is then in F. I just need to know if this tab is the correct one for me.

This is my ever post here so please take it easy on me and im very new to learning the harmonica.

Here is a link to the original recording

Many thanks

Tim,

You are on the right track. The video is in "F" and you have the correct key harmonica and are capoed correctly.

Play through the tabs for a day or so and then try to play with the Dylan version and see if it sounds correct. The harmonica part is simple, so use your ear to determine if all the notes are good, if not, play with it until they do. You likely will be able to figure out all the parts yourself if you just mess with it for awhile. The most important aspect is to have the correct key harmonica in your hands.

Let us know how it goes.

Just to let you know i managed to pick up the harmonica solo part quite nicely. I'm enjoying playing the harmonica along with my guitar at the min.

A problem i have at the moment tho is working out the compelte correct notes, i like what i am playing to sound exactly like the recorded version if you understand. If i post you another link to a different Dylan tune would you be able to tab out the harmonica part for me? The song is called 'Man Of Constant Sorrow'. Unfortunately i can't seem to find a link on youtube though. If i upload a mp3 would that be possible?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Tim,

I can tab out anything, but I do charge by the half-hour to do so. If you have trouble tabbing out something and don't want to pay someone to do it, you will have to hope that someone will volunteer their time to help you out or, do what I did coming up pre-Internet, keep working on it until you get it. Process of elimination and a bit of sweat can work miracles.

If you decide you want my personal help, here is the info for a 30-minute lesson:
