Rolf Berschneider
About a year ago, I went to Las Vegas to meet some friends:
I stayed in a medium size hotel off the strip. As I attempted to leave the hotel, I witnessed a wedding ceremony in the lobby performed by a rabbi. For both parties it was the second time around. I told them that I would like to play them a song and they happily agreed. I pulled out my A minor harmonica and played the song from Fiddler on the Roof, Sunrise Sunset. As I played, the bride had tears in her eyes, she looked at her husband and said, "honey, this is my favorite song". I received big applause and got invited for the reception, which I had to decline since I had a show reservation.
RB Harper, a.k.a. Rolf Berschneider, was born in Hamburg, Germany. Since his postwar teenage years, his dearest companion has been the harmonica.
