: Go to the Beginners start here page and the recommended Harmonicas page, you need to get a decent quality diatonic. Tremolos are cheap, leak air, and not good for much more than Mary had a little lamb type playing.

: : First of all, I have been playing harmonica for about 3 years now (I never was nor am I now very good) but I have only played a tremolo. recently I have become more interested in learning the 'appropriate' way to play (I taught myself). One problem has always haunted me: Whenever I can play single notes, but everyone listening can hear me blowing. I can usually hear myself blowing too which is REALLY frustrating. I have tried all the techniques on this site and none of them seem to solve my problem: i still 'blow' this has really been hindering me for a while now so I ask if anyone can give me some advice on what else I can try? Is it any easier to do on a diatonic? Any advice would be appreciated.

I HAVE read the beginners section of this site, several times. But I still have trouble with the correct breathing. I know tremolos are cheap but can you give me some tips anyway?
