I think you might like some Blue Rodeo songs. Particularly
off their Five Days In May album, the song Head Over
Heels has a great harp intro and also a great harp
solo at the end.
: I think Bob Dylan songs would be the obvious choice for basic diatonic playing. Look in the tabs section- rock/pop solos of this site for more classic harmonica songs.
: : I know I am DEFINITELY in the right place to ask this question. Can anybody name the most popular songs and composers of say the last 40 years that use a harp as an important component of a particular song. Like "Piano Man" by Billy Joel, "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young.....great stuff like that. I will be performing those 2 tunes as well as 40 others, but I find myself wanting MORE classic harmonica hits. Am I getting addicted to that wondrous sound or WHAT?? ROFL! Ü Anything particular kickass songs pop out in anybody's head? I greatly appreciate the combined experience of this board at large and thank you all in advance! -----ROB
